Diploma of Family Intake and Support Work (CHC51808)

Description: Many organisations have a range of services to choose from and intake workers are the initial point of contact for potential clients. Workers in these roles may also provide some non-therapeutic supports, such as provision of information, initial intake, referral, advocacy, administrative tasks and participation in case planning.

The Diploma of Intake and Family Support Work is designed to provide high level communication skills, intake skills and a broad knowledge of counselling and family dispute resolution to equip intake and support workers employed in various services that provide relationship support and interventions for families. It also provides a broad knowledge of the legal and ethical framework in which they work.

Duration: 18 months

Entry Requirements: Relevant work experience in an autonomous role.
