Workers across a range of health and welfare agencies are often required to work with people around their couple and/or parent-child relationships. This course explores the concept of “relationship” through particular theories and models, and invites participants to use specific educative tools and resources to assist clients to understand, build and strengthen healthy relationships. The course also covers the worker’s relationship with themselves and their colleagues as important aspects of the delivery of effective relationship interventions.
What you will learn
This course is for people working at a preventative and early intervention level with individuals and families, where there is a need for support and education around relationship issues.

As I reflect back on my time at IFP, I can honestly say that it was a truly positive experience every step of the way. As a student I experienced those principles that were being taught to us a necessary in a healthy counselling relationship; being listened to, care and empathy, good communication and healthy boundaries with flexibility.
